21/09/2010: FIVE TRAINING COURSES to be Offered in the Fourth Quarter of 2010
The Philippine Consulate General, through the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), shall offer five training courses for the fourth quarter of 2010 as part of the Reintegration Program for Overseas Filipinos.
The five courses to be offered for the fourth quarter of 2010 are Fast Food Business, Tailoring, Building and Fixing (computers), Basic Fruit Carving, and Financial Literacy.
The Fast Food Business course shall have five different batches, with 40 students per batch. Each batch shall have a course that will be conducted from 8am to 5pm. These schedules will run from October 2 to 30, 2010. Chef Hermie B. Coronejo will conduct the course.
Mr. Domingo S. del Rosario will conduct the Tailoring course from October 2 to 30, from 9am to noon. As space and sewing equipment are limited, only 35 participants will be accommodated for this course.
The Building and Fixing Course (computers) has room for 35 students and would be conducted by Mr. Mar V. Masilungan. The course is scheduled from October 2 to November 20 at 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Applicants for this course must pass a pre-qualifying exam and must have completed BCO 1 and BCO 2.
Mr. Eduardo M. Elenzano will impart his expertise through the Basic Fruit Carving Course. Up to 50 participants will be accommodated in classes that will be held from November 6 to 20 from 1pm to 5pm.
The Financial Literacy course will be administered by Labor Representative Carmelina F. Velasquez, Remily D. Oca (POLO-Saipan), Mr. Ignacio D. Banadera and Mr. Melvin J. Malvar. A maximum of 50 students may be accommodated at the course that is scheduled from November 6 to December 4 from 9am to noon time.
Slots for all courses are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants need to present either their umbrella or work entry permit and their Philippine passport.
